Supplier Certification
JCPenney requires that diverse suppliers comply with our business requirements. A minority or women-owned business must meet certification requirements, which include: being at least 51% owned, operated and controlled by U.S. citizens belonging to one or more of the following groups: African American, Hispanic American, Asian-Indian American, Asian-Pacific American, Native American or a Woman.
Certification assures standards are in place and provides credibility to our program. Minority and women-owned business enterprises seeking business opportunities through our Supplier Diversity Program must be certified by one of the following:
