JCPenney to Webcast October 23 Analyst Meeting

PLANO, Texas (October 16, 2009) – J. C. Penney Company, Inc. (NYSE:JCP) will host a meeting for analysts and investors on Friday, October 23, 2009 in New York City. Beginning at 11:45 a.m. ET, select members of JCPenney’s senior management team will take part in panel discussions to be moderated by Myron E. (Mike) Ullman, III, chairman and chief executive officer of JCPenney. Panelists will also take questions from the audience. Panel discussions will conclude at 1:00 p.m.

Panel discussions and Q&A sessions will be available via a real-time webcast.
