Planning and Merchandising Trainee
The jcpenney Planning and Merchandising Trainee program is one of the leading training programs in the retail industry. As a jcpenney Planning and Merchandising Trainee, you will work from the Home Office in Plano, TX (just 20 minutes north of downtown Dallas) and experience firsthand how buying, planning, allocation, and inventory management integrate to produce product in more than 1,100 jcpenney stores and on jcp.com.
The 17-week training program is fast-paced and high-caliber. You’ll gain insight into store environment processes, visit a logistics center, attend specialized training classes, and more. You will engage with Planning and Merchandising team members and work side-by-side with other trainees every step of the way. A host of projects, activities and hands-on training will facilitate your learning. You’ll be a valued member of the team with senior managers mentoring and coaching you to success.
We look for candidates with outstanding leadership, communication and analytical skills. Candidates need a four-year degree in business or fashion merchandising with a minimum 3.0 GPA and a desire to relocate to the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. Retail internship experience is preferred.
