We offer training courses in-person, via the Internet and through internal satellite broadcasts. A key component of our training efforts has been leveraging our point-of-sale terminals – we now have the ability to train and communicate with our associates right on the sales floor.
associates may also be selected to attend programs such as “Retail Academy,” “WINNING TOGETHER, Leading Together,” “WINNING TOGETHER, Leading a District” and “WINNING TOGETHER, Leading a Store.” These leadership training programs, led by jcpenney’s top executives, ensure future Company leadership and provide bench strength across our organization. Tools like career discussions, management competencies, 360 surveys and Individual Development Plans are also integral to our culture of development.
